U3AOS3 Topic 5: AC DC

There are two ways that electricity travels through wires.

AC current is where the current travels in both directions at a certain frequency ($50-60$Hz).

DC current is where the current only travels in $1$ direction.

 

Currents travelling as DC have more power loss that occurs than if they travel as AC.
