U4AOS1 Topic 9: Wave Interference

There are two types of interference. Constructive and destructive.

Constructive interference is where the wavelengths overlap and add to each other to make 1 very big wave.

Destructive interference is where the wavelengths overlap and cancel each other out to make a flat line.

After waves have been added they have been super positioned.

Waves reflect off of two types of ends. Fixed ends and free ends.

Fixed ends invert (flip) the wave.

Free ends mirror the wave back.
